Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you donate: your name (unless you donate anonymously), email and, optionally, your mobile number. Your PAN and postal address are collected only if you request a tax exemption certificate, because tax law requires them on the certificate and in our donor records.

When you sign up to be notified: your email address, and nothing else.

What we use it for

Sending your donation receipt, maintaining the statutory donor records the law requires, and, only if you opted in, sending the short monthly ledger update. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Pvt Ltd. Your card, bank and UPI details go directly to Razorpay and never touch our servers. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs that data.

Retention and deletion

Donation records are kept as long as tax and audit law requires. Notify-list emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. For any deletion or correction request, write to hello@narmadaseva.org. We aim to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics. The payment step loads Razorpay's checkout, which uses its own cookies to process the payment.
